Here are a few ways that you can help. Volunteer for a Committee or special project:
- Budget - Meet with Treasurer to review status of budget, draft new yearly budget and present to board for review. The propposed budget is then presented to the homeowners and open for discussion at the annual budget meeting (every spring)..
- Communications - Provide periodic assistance with the quarterly newsletter or the website. This can range from drafting the newsletter to dropping it to those few residents who do not have internet access..
- Grounds and Landscaping - Advise the board of any repairs needs in the common areas, make reports to the board, on ocassion, review proposals and provide recommendations to the board. Monitor the common grounds and make recommendations on improvements needed.
- Social / Welcome - Meet and greet new residents, lead and coordinate various social events throughout the year. The events must be open to all residents of the community.
- Neighborhood Watch - Keep an eye out for suspicious activity and call the police as necessary. We also have extra police patrol by the County Police.
BLOCK CAPTAINS wanted: We're looking for individuals who can help monitor the area and help with special projects. For example, we may need somone to pass out special notices or someone to tell us if an area or property needs attention. You do not have to be the Block Captain for the street that you live on.
You can make a difference. Get involved! Be an active community resident.
