About Us

Welcome to our community website www.CroftonMews.com

Crofton Mews is located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland near Route 3 (Crain Highway) and Johns Hopkins Road.  The community was established in 1975  with 390 townhouse condominium units constructed in colonial style.  These townhouse condominiums are a mix of one-level and two-level homes with 2 or 3 bedrooms.

The homes consist of 5 different models:  Lloyd, Hammond, Severn, Inside Lloyd, and Gloucester. Special features in some of these unit styles include master baths, central air conditioning, sunken living rooms, country kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, rear patio areas, rear decks, and front yards.  Crofton Mews also has two toddler playgrounds and dog-walking areas.  The toddlers enjoy the tot lots, and everyone enjoys looking at the double-blooming pink cherry blossoms in the spring and sitting by the pond year round.

The community is close to ample shopping, the Crofton Public Library, choice of restaurants, businesses, numerous churches, parks, and is within easy drive or commute to the many attractions in the tri-city areas of Washington, DC, Annapolis and Baltimore, MD.  We are also close to Ft. Meade.

The Crofton Mews Condominium Association is a non-profit organization run by a 7-member volunteer Board of Directors (homeowners).  The association is more like a housing management or service-delivery organization that provides three types of services to all residents:
  • Community services - securing trash collection, publishing newsletters, orienting new owners, holding community-wide information meetings, and scheduling recreational and social functions.
  • Governance services - ensuring that residents are complying with the associations governing documents, that the association is adhering to local, state, and federal statutes, and enforcing community rules and policies.
  • Business services - operating the common property efficiently, bidding maintenance work competitively, investing reserve funds wisely, developing long-range plans, and collecting assessments.
We have several volunteer opportunities available. For example, you can serve on one of the following committees: Budget, Communications, Landscaping, Neighborhood Watch, or Social/Welcome Committee.

We also have a need for a Block Captain--one for each of our 8 Courts. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, or want to recommend a special project, please let us know.
